Alumni
Welcome (Back)!
We’re so super excited when our alumni get in touch—we feel like Deer Mountain is more like a family than a camp. Now that you’re back, we hope to keep you reminiscing about the experiences you had as campers and staff members. We also hope to share and celebrate with you how Deer Mountain continues to grow!
We loved camp as kids and we suspect you did, too. Please share your favorite stories about Deer Mountain with us. We’ve heard so many memories through the years, running into alumni all over the world. They always leave us feeling delighted, grateful, and honored. The positive, lasting impact Deer Mountain has had on so many of you is the greatest gift we can give our campers.
Many of your stories involve our father and founder, Mel. (We miss him, and we know he lives on through the legacy of our camp). Others are about moments with friends, counselors, and other staff members—many of whom are still a part of your life. Some include wacky pranks you still talk about, activities that left you with life-long interests and/or careers, and other incredible experiences campers have here. From your stories, we’re confident anyone who spent even one summer at Deer Mountain has unforgettable memories.
Just as we love our alumni, we love watching their offspring thrive and grow. We encourage you to pass your experiences to the next generation. Stay in touch, find out the latest happenings, and talk to us about sending your child here. We keep updating our offerings—but our traditions live on.
To stay updated on everything Deer Mountain—including new programs, offerings, news, and registration information—please join our online community. “Like” the DMDC Fan Page on Facebook and follow us on Twitter (@DeerMtnDayCamp)!
While the Deer Mountain legacy is bigger than any one of us, we wouldn’t be here without you. We greatly value each member—past and present—so please stay in touch. And do share what you remember; we’d relish it.
Looking forward to hearing more!
All our best wishes,
Roberta and Carol
